Most Badass Reindeer Pelt Ever by CabinetCuriosities Most Badass Reindeer Pelt Ever by CabinetCuriosities
Did you ever get a pelt you couldn't unfold properly unless you pushed all of your furniture aside? Yeah, that happened to me half an hour ago. Got a reindeer pelt with attached face and antlers and didn't expected them to be THAT MONSTEROUS. It's a fullgrown male. I put my reindeer skull, which is already pretty big, onto it to show the size. As well as my foot (which isn't big at all, but you get the impression ^^). I hoped the hooves also were attached, but unfortunately they aren't. But awesome legs :la:

I don't know what to do with it yet. Even if I have a big flat, this isn't something I just can put somewhere. I'd consider selling/trading, but well, look at that size. It's a pain to be shipped. It wasn't even shipped to me within Germany, the seller brought it personally. Btw this guy came from Lappland over 50 years ago. The leather is in awesome condition for that age und the pelt is not dusty at all.

ah ich weiss was du meinst.

Wow. That is one BIG pelt

Over here the local wildlife park has reindeer (named after Santa's reindeer, of course), and you can pet them right through the fence. They're smaller than I'd thought they'd be, but I'm more used to common whitetail

I saw a lot of reindeer in scandinavia and they were all very shy.
And smaller then expected! :)

The tame ones here will come right up and look for treats. They like being petted.

Hm. Maybe if you bought or made something like a saddle rack and draped him over it?

That way he could hang on the wall. He is gorgeous. Wow.

Oh, I would have loved to see how big that fellow stood. Reindeer aren't nearly as tall as most people think, but this one looks like he was enormous. Lucky you, I hope you can find a place to show it off well.

They're actually quite impressive when standing next to them (I admit, I'm quite small, but nevertheless ^^), especially with those huge antlers. Had the luck to get really near (~1m) to them in Sweden last year.

Whoa, now that's something awesome! I guess this one would cost a lot? I would be so happy to have it next to my bed ;.;
But money...I never have enough of it :c

Yes, it will be quite expensive if sold... I'd say around 200-250€, since I already paid a lot to get it. But I guess the most expensive and difficult part would be to ship it. But actually I only live around an hour of driving from the Dutch border, so depending on where exactly you live you could pick it up :)
