Fox Rondel by CabinetCuriosities Fox Rondel by CabinetCuriosities
Sorry to spam :) The weather was nice today and I decided to take out all my foxes - well and one of Christinas.

From left to right:

1. silver fox
2. pearl fox
3. blue fox
4. polar fox
5. grey fox
6. tundra blue fox
7. platinum gold fox
8. silberian red fox
9. cross fox

A year ago I said to myself: You are just allowing yourself to buy and keep 5 pelts!

Lol. Failed.

From a lot of sources. Mostly Ebay or from trades with other collectors :)

I know D: Everytime I see that photo I remember all the pelts I don't have anymore and suddenly I want all of them back.

I don't think I'd be able to part with them after I got them! I'd have an entire home /filled/ with my babies and a 'Trigger Warning' on my front door stating "Caution! This home contains countless items of Taxidermy and Curiosities. Do NOT Enter if you're easily upset by these things!"
I'd probably keep my living area and kitchen /mostly/ clear, for some of my vegan friends, but... it'd be dodgy letting them inside as a given xD

I parted with a lot of them.
From all the foxes you see above I only have four left.
And all the ones which are not on the picture of course :)

Next summer I will make a new rondel.

Ohmygod I can't even IMAGINE parting with those beauties ;_;
I actually am in the process of permits to purchase and own a living breathing silver like the one on the end to be my beloved pet

I have a solid main group of foxes I will not part with but some of my others are just...
I like all of them but only a few I really love.
And if there is a pelt I like but I wouldn't miss I am always opened for trades/sales.

Foxes must be great pets. Though they are still wild.

Here we have a breeder who has been 'domesticating' them for generations from selectively picked parents. She does amazing work with them and I've heard from someone who got a kit from her that going into the house, is like going into a petting zoo filled with foxes who want to sit all over you  I'm very excited, hehehe. All foxes are wild, deep down, and I will never deny that, but some are a little more family material than others ;)

I get the favorite pelt versus could part with for a potential /new/ favorite pelt. Stubsy, whenever she arrives in the mail, will always be my favorite fox and my first fox  Can't wait to soft mount her.

We don't have any of these in America. Poop. All we have are smelly old coyotes who can't carry a tune in a basket.

I'm not sure what part of Canada you live in but here in B.C we have lots of foxes, but like your problem with deer they often approach people for food due to tourists.

Gorgeous pelts! I've been sort of wanting a fax pelt myself, but have no idea how to go about getting one. Where did you get yours, and about how much were they?

I got my pelts from trades, ebay or etsy.
We are selling fox pelts, too.

They were between 30€ and 200€.

Wo habt ihr denn die ganzen Felle her? >w<

WHY NOT!!?!? D: you are so mean!! (lol)

And don't worry about your pelts obsession...When I started to collect wildlife item I told to myself to get only 3 fox pelts (silver, red and cross) and well... I'm getting my sixth on September and later on a soft mount LOL. We both failed together...YAY! :D
